What is interesting about his story is that he claims when Apollo 15 orbited the moon in the summer of it picked up images of what appeared to be a large almost cylindrical shaped craft, lodged in a crater on the far side of the moon. Rutledge says that this cylindrical shaped craft was actually a 4 km long ancient alien spacecraft. In after the last official Apollo flight — Apollo 17, Rutledge says that NASA teamed up with the Soviets to complete these 3 secret missions, the purpose being to complete detailed surveys of this supposed alien craft.
An apparent close up of the cigar shaped craft on the lunar surface. The objective was to dock the two probes.
The mission was successful and highly publicised. The teams shook hands, exchanged gifts, ate together and coversed in each others languages. Astronauts Thomas P. Stafford, Vance D. Brand, Donald K. There are no official details on the Apollo 19 and 20 missions. According to NASA the intended missions were scrapped because of budget cuts. Rutledge says the Apollo-Soyuz test project was preparation for the 2 proceeding secret missions.
There are indeed claims of a size able launch taking place at Vanderberg AFB at that time. The astronauts apparently made it back to Earth safely after their ordeal. The Apollo 20 mission objective according to Rutledge who claims to have been on board was to land in proximity to the cigar shaped alien craft spotted on Apollo 15 and then complete detailed surveys and exploration. The Americans used a Saturn V rocket to make the trip and apparently landed on the far side of the moon where they explored the large alien craft before returning to Earth.
This is a very interesting conspiracy theory to say the least and there seem to be some possible corroborations if you do your research. I cant possibly cover all the details of the missions in this short article but I suggest looking up William Rutledge Apollo 20 on YouTube. There are some very interesting videos that seem to be quite authentic. About Tommy Wasson Canadian businessman, author and traveller. Nathan writes thought provoking articles on a range of fascinating topics. The main goal of the Apollo 20 mission was not really to explore the remains of the huge ancient spacecraft, but a site with a lot of non-natural constructions mostly tower-like constructions some 30 km south of the mothership.
Russians were included for they had already had a lot of information about the site from a Lunokhod vehicle that had roved all around for quite a time, but it eventually stopped working due to the power lose. The Lunokhod served later as a beacon for the Apollo 20 crew to make successful landing.
Rutledge is nonetheless a person that should be praised for his effort to finally reveal the truth to the public. What all is being hidden from us. We deserve the right to know all truths but as the public we are. We could never be able to calmly handle something of this magnitute.
Imagine if this was revealed to the world. We would completely freak out! The reader is cautioned that this resource estimate is historical in nature and the Company is not treating it, or any part of it, as a current mineral resource. See note on historical mineral resources below.
Historic resources are reported here as documented in original documents. Abbreviations are ounces per short ton opt and tonnes are imperial.
The reader is cautioned not to treat them, or any part of them, as current mineral resources or reserves. A thorough review of all historic data performed by an independent QP, along with additional exploration work to confirm results, would be required to produce a current mineral resource estimate for either property. They earned names like "Eagle" or "Snoopy" only if they flew into space with astronauts inside. The module has been on display in full since around after its ascent stage took a quick trip to a world's fair in Japan. It wasn't designed to carry people to the moon. Instead, it was a backup for Apollo 5: the first test flight of a lunar module. Apollo 5 wound up being so successful in taking LM-1 through the paces of spaceflight, though, that NASA decided to keep LM-2 on the ground and use it for tests instead of launching it.
Later, LM-5 took Aldrin and Armstrong to the moon and back. In , NASA was planning an Apollo 18 mission, which was slated to reach the lunar surface in So it asked Grumman to build LM However, Congress abruptly canceled the three final moon missions — Apollo 18, 19, and 20 — in September The last mission to reach the moon was Apollo 17 in December A variety of factors led to the program's cancellation and the mothballing of LM First, a ruptured oxygen tank on Apollo 13 nearly killed its crew en route to the moon in April , which gave rise to concerns about whether another potentially deadly accident could stall NASA's future spaceflight plans.
There was also a push to divert Saturn V rockets money away from the Apollo program and put those resources toward a US space-station program called Skylab. LM was not finished when Congress formally canceled Apollo The formerly moon-bound vehicle was restored and put on display in The vehicle has a round door which astronauts with squarish life-support backpacks could not fit through and is missing protective and reflective outer coverings.
There are two main sizes of lunar modules: a lighter standard one and a heavier extended version. Apollo missions 14 and earlier used standard lunar modules, which permitted stays of about a day or so on the moon's surface. Apollo 15 and onward used the extended modules, which allowed astronauts to spend a few days on the moon. They also carried a lunar-roving vehicle.
Apollo 15 was supposed to use a standard-size module called LM
